It's still August but we are positively BUZZING to decorate for Halloween this year. If you're looking for some new ideas for this year, may I please introduce you to the "trunk-or-treat" kit?
These kits, as previously reported on by SimpleMost, are designed to deck out the trunk of your car in scary style. This is a great option if you don't have a yard to decorate.
At Party City, you can choose from a bunch of different themes from Trolls to Spiderman that come with balloons and different decorations. Two of our faves are the Frozen 2 kit (how cute is the balloon Olaf???) and the terrifying Nightmare Before Christmas look complete with a giant Jack Skellington (this one is a little more a la carte, but they provide links to all the different things you can buy to make it!). If you can't choose, they also offer a general Halloween set that is pretty stellar.
Over at Oriental Trading, they also have some kits as well as DIY inspiration for trunk-or-treat designs including Harry Potter, Baby Shark, and Candy Land. The kits will run you close to $200 (!!!), but if it's the centerpiece of your socially distant party, maybe you could all chip in. There is nothing saying you need one of these specific kits, though, as you can just buy some individual decorations and go crazy for a little cheaper!
