John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are selling their Beverly Hills home where they have been sheltering-in-place with their two children and Teigen's mother since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The nearly 8,500-square-foot manse just north of Sunset Boulevard was listed for sale today at $23.95 million (the couple purchased the home, which formerly belonged to singer and entrepreneur Rihanna, in 2016 for $14.1 million). The Wall Street Journal reports the family is only moving due to the recent news of Teigen's pregnancy, as Legend says the family "simple needs more space" with a new addition on the way.

This modern home is full of Southeast Asian influences from Teigen's heritage (she is half Thai), with a swoon-worthy, hand-carved wood ceiling in the family's great room that was imported from Thailand. Brass and bronze finishes are utilized throughout the home, and it is decorated with a blend of chic yet livable modern and vintage furnishings in a neutral palette.

The home was designed with the family’s love for both modern design and vintage furnishings.

The home's kitchen, which is often featured on Teigen's Instagram, received some major work in 2016 (Teigen has authored two cookbooks and has a cookware line). It has been outfitted with professional-grade equipment and is sure to inspire many fabulous meals and culinary experiments for its next owners. However, the home's crown jewel is the closets in the main bedroom, which the couple customized recently. Teigen shared a video of the closet yesterday via Instagram, explaining how sad she was to have to move and leave this enviable room.

The his-and-her closets were designed by the couple themselves.

Legend tells WSJ the home is perfect for entertaining, as there are towering ceilings and grand entryways—plus his white grand piano fits perfectly in the living room for sparking sing-alongs with loved ones. Marshall Peck of Douglas Elliman has the listing.
