As far as comfort food goes, no chain does it quite like Cracker Barrel. Between their fried chicken and meatloaf, it can be a challenge choosing an entree, but two new menu items were just introduced that may make that decision even more difficult.

The first new addition is a maple bacon chicken entree that features two grilled chicken breasts with a sweet and smoky maple glaze, bacon, and melted cheese. You can choose two country sides and will get buttermilk biscuits (or corn muffins!) with your meal.

What I'm personally most excited for, though, is the new chicken pot pie that Cracker Barrel has officially added to their list of entrees. This meal is made with slow-simmered chicken to make it extra tender, as well as potatoes, peas, carrots, celery, and onions all combined in a creamy sauce and topped with a flaky pastry crust. When you order this, you also get to choose between buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins.

Cracker Barrel dining rooms are still closed in most areas, but the chain is offering efficient curbside pick-up and delivery. In areas where it's possible, Cracker Barrel has also added beer and wine to the menu for people to enjoy with their takeout meals. In early June, 20 locations were offering the alcohol service, so it's likely the program is rolling out at more stores as we speak. Even if your local Cracker Barrel isn't one of those 20 places just yet, these new menu items are worth ordering for and if you really want some booze on the side, you can order from an alcohol delivery service to round out your meal.
