Not to be dramatic, but Chrissy Teigen's cooking videos are one of the few things that consistently bring me joy. The recipes are easy to follow, there's usually a guest appearance by Luna or Miles, and the food always comes out looking delicious. Her latest video showed viewers how to make Raspberry Cheesecake Lolli-Pop Tarts and, honestly, they'd be great for both breakfast and dessert.
The recipe was essentially just mini homemade Pop-Tarts that were baked on oven-safe lollipop sticks to make them easy to carry. Besides the lollipop sticks, the recipe calls for cream cheese, granulated sugar, confectioner's sugar, lemon zest, salt, raspberries, egg, milk, pie dough, and whatever toppings you want.
Chrissy used cereal toppings like Honey Bunches of Oats (her favorite) and cereal marshmallows. She also used store-bought refrigerated pie crust, but said that you can totally make the dough from scratch if you feel so inclined.
For the filling, she made a cream cheese mixture and muddled her raspberries to make a puree. After rolling out and cutting the pie dough into little squares, she and John stuffed each of them with both the cream cheese and raspberries, then closed them, crimping the dough corners with a fork.
They let the Pop-Tarts chill in the fridge for a bit before baking, then scored the tops slightly and brushed over an egg wash to make sure the tops got crispy. After baking them for 18-to-20 minutes at 350, John and Chrissy let them cool a bit before adding the glaze—made from milk and confectioner's sugar—on top, then finished them off with all of their fun toppings.
We didn't get to see Luna or Miles give their review, but both Chrissy and John seemed to love them, and that in itself is trustworthy enough to me.
