Some of the most heated debates start on Twitter. Whether it's about what fruit can be thrown the farthest or proper microwave etiquette, the people of Twitter always have something to say. So when someone tweeted about which Chex Mix piece is the best, it's no surprise things got pretty heated.

The tweet featured a photo of the mini breadstick, the rye chip, the square pretzel, corn chex, wheat chex, and the circle pretzel, all labeled so people could share their opinions. The post has over 29,000 likes and tons of replies where people are voicing their strong feelings about the matter. The original user, @naahrun, said her personal favorites are the corn and wheat chex pieces, but people had clashing opinions.

"Everyone is entitled to an opinion but if you don’t say Rye Chip you’re dead wrong and deserve harsh discipline," said one person. Meanwhile someone else couldn't disagree more: "I can't believe these replies. I will literally throw the rye chip away."

Some even said their favorite piece depends on certain variables, like where in the bag they are and how much seasoning they have. "Corn chex but the ones at the bottom of the bag covered in seasoning PHEW," another person chimed in.

From the replies, it seems like the majority of people are outspoken advocates for the rye chip, which is commendable but also quite shocking! Chex pieces were a close second, and the utter lack of praise for the mini breadstick was eye-opening. Maybe, though, the real beauty of Chex Mix is the way all of the different pieces work together to create the supreme crunchy and salty snack mix, one tweet pointed out.

"The strength of chex mix is in the harmonious symphony of differing flavors and textures. to attempt to single out which individual component is best shows a shocking lack of appreciation and respect for the cacophony of crunch and flavor in each bag of general mills chex mix," the tweet said. And who can really argue with that?
