The "fruit snack challenge" is the latest trend taking over the internet, and it has parents testing their kids' patience when it comes to eating snacks right in front of them. We saw Stormi Webster absolutely slay the challenge, and now Gabrielle Union tried it out on one-year-old daughter Kaavia James but it didn't go quiiite as smoothly.
For the challenge, parents have been setting bowls of little snacks in front of their kids (it's typically fruit snacks but Kylie Jenner used some M&M's and Gabrielle used Bitsy's cookies). According to her Instagram caption, the healthy cookies are Kaavia's favorite snack. A fun clue as to how it went? Gab geo-tagged the Insta as "Self Control."
After the snack is set in front of the child, the parent says they can eat them but just have to wait until they come back. A camera is set up the entire time to capture what the kids do, whether they decide to wait or not.
Gabrielle did just that, and Kaavia was totally on board. "You can have some Bitsy's, but you got to wait until I get back, OK?" Gabrielle explained. Kaavia nodded, making it seem that she was totally aware of the rules. Or so you'd think...
Without a second to spare, Kaavia got up from her chair, walked over to the bowl of cookies and stuffed about two into her mouth. "Kaav are you waiting?" you hear Gabrielle saying from the other room. "Are you patient?" Then she came back into the room, while unbothered queen Kaavia licked her fingers for every last crumb.
"I thought you were gonna wait!" Gabrielle said, and Kaavia looked up and pointed at her in a way that practically said, "Who? Me?" Then Gabrielle tells her she can go ahead and eat them, but—get this—Kaavia runs away right out of the frame, and into the next room! It's Kaavia's world, and we're just living in it.
