Sour Patch Kids commercials may be one of the only candy brand commercials that are kind of...terrifying. IMO, they’re about to get a whole lot scarier, because the candy now comes in a size that’s double the original. Imagine the commercials that shall commence with giant Sour Patch Kids (think: King Kong-level freight).
The Instagram account @snackbetch spotted big Sour Patch Kids in a "go-pak" at Walmart. The container it comes in is like a cup for easy, on-the-go (or way back to your car) snacking. Alternatively, the candy comes in family-size bags or in a box of individually wrapped candies if you want to put them on display. The soft and chewy candy is the same as its original flavors but is simply twice the size. Instead of shoving a couple of them in your mouth, you can now eat one or two at a time. Apart from Walmart, you can find the big version of this candy at Target and 7-11.
One Instagram commenter shared that he liked the big candies better than their smaller counterparts. He wrote that eating them is “like the experience of Swedish Fish combined with the taste of SPK.” Other people chimed in to note that they love the larger size.
Bigger is better, right? That’s especially true when it comes to food and drinks. If big Sour Patch Kids commercials are to follow, I'll endure them only because the bigger candy looks pretty delicious.
