With social distancing measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic continuing, many have questioned what this will mean for some of their favorite forms of entertainment like concerts, TV, and movies. While it will certainly vary based on the project, fans of The Great British Baking Show just got an update on how their favorite show has been affected and when we can expect it back on our TVs.

Judge Prue Leith told The Andrew Marr Show this weekend that the show is waiting to hear how the U.K. government will tell productions like theirs to proceed. She is, however, optimistic the show, which is known by its original name The Great British Bake-Off in the U.K., will film ASAP.

"It’s impossible at the moment because there are really a lot of people on set, but I’m sure they’ll find a way as soon as they can," she said, according to Metro.

Prue's sentiments come as fellow judge Paul Hollywood speculated that the show could still come out in late summer to early fall if they were able to film sometime this summer. The show typically films in April through July and airs in August, so that would be quite the tight turnaround.

"We continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of Public Health England and we will delay filming on The Great British Bake Off until it is safe to proceed," the show previously told Delish UK.

Here's hoping everyone involved in the show stays safe and we can all enjoy some quality time with my close personal friends soon...in case you're wondering, I am referring to everyone involved in the show! We're best friends, it's true!!
