What's the only thing better than baking a cake? Eating a cake! And what's the only thing better than eating a cake you baked? Eating a delicious cake that someone else baked for you. Luckily, Aldi has come to save the day by selling a Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Loaf cake you don't need to fire up the oven for.
Instagrammer @aldi.mademedoit spotted this cake from Posh Pantry that's basically the perfect combo of all of our favorite things. It's made with moist red velvet cake and packed with delicious chocolate chips. Then, it's individually sliced so you don't even have to break out a knife. It could not be easier!!
In case chocolate is not actually your jam, Aldi also sells a Vanilla Butter Loaf that sounds like it would be totally dreamy with a cup of coffee in the morning. Oh! And I have not even gotten to the best part of these puppies. Not only are they delicious, but they're so beautiful you can definitely pile a few on a plate, slap on a filter, and boast about your homemade baking project. Instagram will be none the wiser.
It turns out I'm not the only one who wants to take these cakes home with me. "Both! Grab both!" one person commented. "Oh I'm definitely going to need one of each," another said.
I don't know about you, but I am going to listen to the good people and find space for both of these on my counter. It's only fair.
