The weather is finally getting warm which means it's getting to be time to fold away your winter coats, break out your shorts, and swap hearty winter recipes for those you make on your grill. But if you're anything like me, you might be having a tough time letting soup season leave you just yet and you're likely looking for one last cozy hurrah—good thing there's nothing better than a recipe from Disney.
The Disney Parks Blog kept up its recent tradition of sharing recipes from the parks by posting a tutorial on how to make the Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier Steakhouse at Epcot's Canada Pavilion. The super-popular soup has been featured in many Disney cookbooks over the years, but this is the first time the company is making it available on their blog.
If you've never had the pleasure of trying this soup out, it's essentially like a vat of liquid cheese that is socially acceptable to eat with a spoon...so in other words, it's a dream. The recipe is full of delicious ingredients like bacon, butter, Worcestershire sauce, and white cheddar cheese. They also recommend eating it with pretzel bread for a truly delicious meal (we've got you covered with a recipe for that!).
In case you're a cheddar soup super-fan, Disney noted that this recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens so the flavor profile may vary from the version you find in the park. STILL...it's cheese soup, my dudes! I don't think you'll be doing too much complaining.
