I write this as, I kid you not, I shovel goat cheese-covered pasta in my face. I certainly cannot be the only one who is living even more so than usual on a diet made of delicious carbs. In fact, I know I am not! Recently, Cameron Diaz shared how much pasta she's been consuming while social distancing with her family and, frankly, I love it.

This week, Cameron went on Instagram Live with her friend, makeup artist Gucci Westman, according to Us Weekly. Cameron shared her love of cooking, saying it's "everything" and her happy place.

“I want to cook,” she said. “I just cook every day, like it doesn’t matter, like I cook at least one meal, sometimes two, sometimes three. It’s just what I do.”

The star said she cooks complicated meals every night but don't worry, that's the way she likes it. "Dinner takes me like an hour, but I want it to. It’s my time to, like, chill out,” she shared.

What's Cam cooking? She joked that she and husband Benji Madden are basically on a pasta diet while spending more time at home.

“Girl, I am eating way too much pasta,” she said. “I’m eating [pasta] like, every night…I was just on a pasta diet. I was like, ‘What should we have tonight, darling? Should we have more pasta?’”

Unsurprisingly, Cameron said she finds carbs like rice and pasta both comforting and versatile: “That’s the beautiful thing, like with pasta or rice, I’m always throwing whatever we had the night before or new veggies and everything and just chopping it all up and cooking it together. It’s so good," she said.

There you go! Throw your leftovers from the night before into a pot with some pasta and boom! You're officially Cameron Diaz.
