McDonald's is showing appreciation for healthcare workers and first responders by offering free "Thank You Meals." The meals will come in the classic Happy Meal box and will be totally free of charge for drive-thru and carry-out customers.

This promotion was put together to show how grateful McDonald's is for the healthcare workers, firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who are still working everyday to ensure our safety as much as possible. Thank You Meals will be available from April 22 to May 5.

The meals will be available during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and can be customized to fit your preferences. You'll choose a sandwich, drink, a side of fries or a hash brown, and a note of appreciation will come with every box. To claim the meal, individuals just need to show their work badge or come in uniform.

Each breakfast meal comes with a choice of an Egg McMuffin, Chicken McGriddle, or a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit. All of these options come with any size soft drink, tea, or hot coffee and a hash brown. For lunch and dinner, the meal options include a choice of a Double Cheeseburger, six-piece Chicken McNuggets, or a Filet-O-Fish. These also come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee, and a small order fries.

During this time, McDonald's is doing what it can to continue to provide for communities while also keeping customers and employees safe. The chain has implemented nearly 50 new policies amid the coronavirus outbreak.
