Social distancing measures are important, but I think it's OK to recognize they've been tough on everyone, especially those who have been missing out on sharing important life events with others. Luckily, the bright light that is Lil Nas X found a way to have fun even while chilling at home.
The rapper shared a series of videos to his Instagram and Instagram Story showing how he spent this landmark birthday, and I'm not gonna lie, they're pretty wild! First, Lil Nas X shared a zooming video where he praised an Elmo stuffed animal with x'd out eyes, the handiwork of designer KAWS, for bringing him a loaf of bread for his birthday.
Then, Lil Nas took it to his Instagram grid, and this is where I must point out to you that he designates his page as a "grocery store." I love him. Regardless, he shared another video jamming with Elmo to Doja Cat's song Say So (if you're on TikTok, you know this one!).
He crosses himself before blowing out a candle on a singular slice of bread before cutting himself a piece. He offers it to Elmo, but then ends up eating it himself. He captioned it "bringing in my 21st with my day 1."
The night ended with Lil Nas X and Elmo laying on the floor with flashing lights around them having partied way too hard! Good for them. Here's hoping SOMEONE got him a real cake too but if not, well, there's always bread.
