Gone are the days when Peeps were strictly chick- and bunny-shaped marshmallows. Now we have crazy flavors — and they’re taking on new forms, like coffee creamer. Among the more head-scratch-worthy treats is 7-Eleven’s Peeps Slurpee. Just let that sink in for a moment.
There are only a couple of pictures of the Peeps Slurpee circulating, so it looks like it was very recently added to the convenience store. According to a picture posted by Instagram account @alex_harmon, the Slurpee machine shows a purple Peeps bunny and yellow Peeps chick. The marshmallow-flavored Slurpee, as it appears, is white. However, a picture from @pegapar shows that the Slurpee is a dark pink/purple hue. Either way, we’re super curious to taste it for ourselves.
Now you’re probably wondering how a cold, icy drink could possibly taste good when it’s marshmallow-flavored. Well, dear reader, we’re thinking the same thing. Luckily, we have @alex_harmon to tell us that “it tastes like sour sugar.” We’re not sure if that makes us more or less confused, but if one thing is clear, we have to try a sip.
You never know what kind of Slurpee flavors 7-Eleven is going to add to its lineup (we’re still thinking about the Nerds Slurpee), but you can always count on it being interesting. Keep in mind that these flavors tend to be limited-edition, so snag a Peeps Slurpee by Easter to really celebrate the holiday.
