This season of The Bachelor has been a wild ride. People have questioned if there's still a two-drink limit and Champagne-gate was the bottle pop heard round the world. And if the decisions Peter Weber has made thus far haven't been shocking enough, last night he tried a crab rangoon...for the first time ever.
Last night's episodes followed the remaining four women as they brought Peter to their hometowns. At these dates he got to meet the families and enjoy dinner with them, while they all inevitably asked him about what his intentions were with their daughter, told him not to break their hearts, etc, etc!
The shocking moment when Peter revealed he had never tried a crab rangoon before came when he was with contestant Kelsey Weier in her hometown of Des Moines, IA. When the two sit down at the dinner table with Kelsey's family, she said words that made my heart sink: "Peter's never had a crab rangoon before!"
I genuinely gasped out loud because how has Peter gone through 28 years of his life without trying the deliciousness that is a CRAB RANGOON! Peter and Kelsey then fed each other wedding cake style and he seemed to like it, saying "Oh my god. Yeah! That's good stuff!" If he didn't like it I would stop watching this season, TBH.
I wasn't alone in my sense of shock, disappointment, and confusion. As always, Twitter had THOUGHTS about the episode with the crab rangoon moment being one of them. A lot of people thought it was insane that the first crab rangoon he's ever eaten was in Iowa, especially since he's a pilot (didn't you know????) and has traveled the world for a living. Others thought this was more evidence Peter is simply not fit to be The Bachelor.
Come ON, Peter!!!! Do better.
