Update, July 23, 2020: It's the moment you've all been waiting for—truly what we've been dreaming about since February: KFC's limited-edition partnership with Crocs will be available for sale starting next Tuesday.
Although we are all certainly pining after the platform Crocs that Kim Kardashian got to wear, only the Kentucky Fried Chicken X Crocs Classic Clog will be available starting Tuesday July 28. They not only look like a striped bucket of chicken, but they also come with two removable, chicken scented (YEP, SCENTED) Jibbitz charms that look just like a fried chicken drumstick.
They can be yours for $59.99 and will be sold only on Crocs.com. What a time to be alive! Despite being extremely silly, these shoes also support a good cause: For every pair they sell, KFC will donate $3 to their foundation’s REACH Educational Grant Program, which helps employees at participating KFC U.S. restaurants to further their education through college scholarships.
Original, February 12, 2020: In case you haven't noticed, Crocs are having a moment right now. The brand is cool with everyone from Gen Z to your grandma. But something tells me it's about to get even MORE beloved because Crocs has partnered with KFC to make what can only be described as a truly unhinged pair of shoes.
KFC announced this week that it was partnering with Crocs to create shoes inspired by its iconic buckets of chicken and, well, the chicken itself.
There are actually two versions of the KFC crocs: The first is the classic clog, which looks like your typical croc but with a KFC twist. It's got the classic KFC bucket design on the bottom, while the top has a fried chicken print complete with two removable chicken-scented Jibbitz, which look exactly like chicken drumsticks. Yes, I said CHICKEN-SCENTED. But you can't actually eat them...bummer.
The second is the Bucket Clog, which is similar to the classic clog, but features a 4.5-inch platform and even appeared in photos during New York Fashion Week. While you won't be able to get the platforms for yourself (and thank goodness for that because I would definitely trip), the classic clogs will be available for purchase in the spring for $59.99 on Crocs.com. If you want to make sure you get your hands on a pair you can sign up for a reminder on their website.
What can I say? This is the world we live in now! Enjoy it.
