If 2020 has taught us anything, it's that candy can be used for literally everything. There's now Jelly Belly seltzer and Tootsie Roll hot chocolate. But now we bring you one of the category's most inventive inventions: candy-flavored lip balms that come in Mentos, Airheads, Icee, and Dippin' Dots flavors.
Now your mind might be going straight to those Lip Smacker variety packs from when you were a kid that tried really hard to taste like your favorite sodas or treats but ultimately failed. These are not Lip Smacker brand so they likely have a better taste to them (though, like, don't actually eat them). Also, the candies being emulated have recognizable flavors, strawberry Mentos, watermelon Airheads, cookies 'n cream Dippin' Dots, and cherry Icee.
These lip balms were spotted by food account @threesnackateers at Dollar General for only $1 each. Each pack comes with two tubes of the same flavor, so when you inevitably lose one, you'll have a back up on hand.
Followers of the Instagram account were super stoked about this find, one even wrote, "Going to get tomorrow. Too fun." Another excitedly wrote, "I WANT ALL OF THEM."
These sweet and fruity lip balms would pair perfectly with the bath bombs from last fall that also come in Icee and Airheads flavors and make for a candy-inspired DIY spa day. For just $1, you might as well pick up a pack of those, too, and see how you feel about them.
