When Twix announced it was bringing back it fan-favorite Cookies and Creme Twix bars, people got excited....very excited. And can you blame them? Twix is pretty much the greatest candy bar ever created and we're all clearly on a cookies and cream high right now, from Oreo popcorn to cookies and cream ice cream bars.
So while I knew this candy would be good, I didn't expect it to be this good. When we tried Cookies and Creme Twix bars, it's safe to say they blew our staff away.
The first thing you'll notice about these bars is they're in a slightly smaller size than a normal Twix bar. Thought it comes in mini size and a four-bar share pack, your standard two-bar pack will be a bit shorter than what you're used to. This will make sense in a minute.
You can smell the cookies and cream flavor almost instantly. And once you bite in, you'll realize this isn't like any other Twix Bar you've ever had. I almost hesitate to compare them because they're truly like delicious apples and delicious oranges but guys...this might be better than a classic Twix.
It's got a crunchy cookie center and the cream filling also has bits of cookie, so it's more of a clean break than you get with your typical Twix. There's no messy (but delicious!) caramel here...just cookies and creme. Multiple people on our staff had to remove themselves from the bars because they were just that good.
It's super, super sweet, which is why I think making them a tad smaller was the way to go. You'd definitely be satisfied with this size candy bar...though I cannot guarantee you won't buy another one tomorrow.
All in all, definitely give this one a try...and then another...and then another. Between this and the ice cream version, you're all set.
