We all have our favorite sweets, but sometimes these sweets start to take on each others' flavors. When this happens, delicious things are afoot. We sometimes get hybrids like the now-famous cronut, and sometimes get inspired takes like Pretzel Pop-Tarts. You also, apparently get donut-inspired Klondike Bars.
The ice cream bars were spotted by Instagram user and YouTuber tamisclock. On the outside, they look like your typical Klondike Bar, wrapped in the signature shiny wrapper, the bear, you know him, he's still there, but once you unwrap them, they look quite a bit different than what you're used to.
All the flavors are inspired by a different donut and Tami showed off two different kinds: Boston Cream and Triple Chocolate. Each bar is obviously filled with ice cream and gets its own special drizzle of flavor on top of the chocolate, just like a donut would.
What's most shocking, however, is they even go so far as to actually be shaped like a donut. Yes, there's really a hole in the middle. Hmmmmm...While I will miss that extra bit of ice cream in the middle, you have to hand it to Klondike: They really committed!
Klondike confirmed to Delish that these would be available nationwide starting in March. In addition to the flavors that Tami showed, they also said they'll be a Frosted Strawberry flavor available then too and, guys, THIS ONE HAS SPRINKLES.
While these won't be widely available until spring (ya know, peak ice cream time), some have obviously gone out a bit early so keep your eyes peeled.
