The Lunar New Year is right around the corner, and Panda Express is here to ensure your Lunar New Year is nice and spicy with the release of a very exciting new dish.
Backing up a sec: The Lunar New Year, which is on January 25, is the start of a new year in a lunar calendar. Panda Express is celebrating this milestone with a brand new dish that it has dubbed "Firecracker Shrimp." The dish was inspired by the firecrackers that are usually used in the streets during the Lunar New Year, and it sounds amazing and flavorful.
Firecracker Shrimp, which was created by the restaurant’s director of culinary innovation Chef Jimmy Wang, includes large shrimp wok-tossed with red and yellow bell peppers, onions, string beans, and whole dried chilis in a savory black bean sauce. It's similar to Firecracker Chicken, which the chain has served in the past.
