As adults, we're all just trying to chase the thrill of sneaking a little bit of cookie dough before our parents could see. And while I am a firm believer that cookie dough always tastes a little bit better when it's forbidden and full of eggs and flour, Nestlé Toll House has the next best thing with its new line of edible FUNFETTI cookie dough and edible brownie batter.
The very exciting products are totally brand new and totally designed to taste like the batter and dough of your favorite childhood treats. They're both made with things that make your homemade treats delicious (like butter), but skip things like eggs so you can eat it right out of the container.
Each of the doughs come in a little canister that looks a lot of like what cake icing comes in. Funfetti has a sugar cookie-like base with Funfetti pieces inside while the rownie version nails the chocolatey-rich flavor of batter.
We had a chance to try these for ourselves ahead of their release and absolutely loved them. You should know they're sweet, sweet, sweet, but that should come as no surprise. Luckily, each container is re-sealable, and your serving size is only two tablespoons anyway, making it the perfect sweet treat...but I won't judge you if you polish off the whole thing.
Strangely, even as HUGE Funfetti fans, we loved the brownie version the best because it tasted exactly like brownie batter.
If you're intrigued, you can scoop up these products at places like Walmart, ShopRite, Hy-Vee, and Meijer and more in late January. The suggested retail price is $5.39 for a 15-ounce tub. Though you can find them near the cookie dough, baking these products is not recommended. Trust me...you won't miss it.
