Italy is good at a lot of things. Birthing my ancestors for one. Making killer food for another. What it is not good at is having a lot of American pizzas chains, but Domino's is here to change all that...whether Italians like it or not.

To be clear, Domino's has already set up shop in Italy, but as Money. It reported, Domino's plans to open at least 850 more locations in Italy in the next 10 years. You might be thinking: "Pizza? Isn't that something Italy is known for?" And you'd be right! Which is why many Italians aren't super psyched about the prospect.

Alessandro Lazzaroni, CEO of Domino's in Italy, assured The Local back when the chain opened in 2015 that the pizza Domino's serves in Italy would be different than American pizza.

"We will be using a recipe created by us, using locally-sourced wheat,” Lazzaroni told them.“It will be purely Italian in all other respects too...the tomato sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola and Parma ham.”

Back then, he also cited the desire from many people to have a pizza shop in Italy that would deliver to a customer's door and where you can be able to pay with a credit card.

“Our commitment is to provide the best service possible–straightforward ordering and a hot pizza delivered to your home on time," he said.

I think I stand with all Americans when I say that I don't care where Domino's goes around the world...but I DO want Parma ham on my pizza in America. Thanks!!!
