It's only 10 days into 2020, and I'm admittedly not off to the best start on my New Year's resolution. I keep saying my plan to eat healthier will begin...tomorrow. Thankfully, help is on the way. Starting Monday, I'll be able to get my fix of Mountain Dew without all of the calories.

For its latest adaptation of the classic beverage, PepsiCo. promises the flavor and fuel we expect from Mountain Dew, but this time, it's without any sugar. To put things into perspective, a 12-ounce serving of the original flavor has 46 grams of sugar.

The soda company has even gone so far as to claim that Mountain Dew Zero Sugar is "maybe even better" than the original. Per Nicole Portwood, vice president of marketing for the brand:

This is a big moment for Dew. We are excited to give customers a zero-sugar offering. Because our fans are uncompromising with the Dew they know and love, we knew we had to pull off a formulation that would preserve the great taste of the original.

The news follows a busy fall for Mountain Dew, which introduced candy corn as its seasonal VooDew flavor and the new pineapple-fueled Maui Burst. We tried the latter, and it is intense.

Mountain Dew Zero Sugar will be available nationwide on January 13. It will come in 20-ounce. and two-liter bottles, 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, and a variety of other containers.

Like you, we were absolutely devastated when we found out that only 250 bottles of Mountain Dew body wash were made. While we can't bathe in Mountain Dew—yes, it was a literal ingredient in the infamous soap—we can rest easy knowing we can soon enjoy it a whole new way.
