Sure, you can wake up to your significant other this Valentine’s Day, but wouldn’t it be even better if you woke up to the sight and smell of Pillsbury’s pink cinnamon rolls? If that sounds like your cup of tea, here’s the real tea: You can. Pillsbury’s once seasonal cinnamon rolls with strawberry-and-cream flavored icing are back, and they’re here to stay.
An Instagram totally dedicated to snacks called @SnackGator recently spotted the pastries at a Walmart. The product is part of Pillsbury’s "Grands!" line of cinnamon rolls, so each tube contains five big rolls. They started as a limited-edition flavor, but Walmart’s website states that they are now available all year long. Walmart offers them for $3.78 per package.
“We tried these last year and absolutely loved them,” SnackGator wrote in the caption. “They have a light strawberry flavor that doesn’t overtake the cinnamon...just the perfect balance.”
Walmart reviewers have mixed reactions to the flavor combination. “I thought it would have been an unusual taste, but it was actually pretty good,” one customer wrote.
Others think the strawberry flavor is too artificial: “It was overly sweet and a strange flavor combination with cinnamon,” another person said. “There were some ‘freeze dried strawberries’ in it, but they were white, so I'm not exactly sure what they really were."
I guess they’ll have to be tested to find out. Just add this to your list of other pink treats to try this season.
