Going out to eat on Valentine's Day kind of sucks, right?! It's crowded, a lot of places have a weird menu, and you're expected to look all fancy while somehow still trying to enjoy your meal. No thank you. I will however make an exception if—and only if—my boyfriend agrees to go to White Castle.
Once again, the slider-serving chain is doing it up BIG for Valentine's Day. At participating White Castles you can expect a traditional Valentine's Day dinner with hostess seating, table-side service, and the whole freakin' place decked out in festive décor. Judging from past Instagrams, many locations also had photo opps readily set up for you and your date (or you and your selfie stick!).
In the past, the chain has served things like its traditional burger sliders, sure, but also things like "Eggspress Your Love," AKA breakfast sliders for two, as well as a chocolate strawberry milkshake. Yes, it's pretty exciting.
New this year is a pop-up in San Antonio, TX, put on by retailer H-E-B, which will feature a totally new and probably over-the-top experience. If you're looking to attend that though, you're out of luck. When White Castle sent an email announcing the pop-up, reservations filled up within 24 hours.
All in all, White Castle expects to serve a special V-Day experience to 30,000 people in 13 states on Valentine's Day. The event will go from 4 to 9 p.m, and it's HIGHLY suggested you make reservations. You can make a reservation at participating restaurants through OpenTable.com or on the OpenTable app.
Just remember, on Valentine's Day, it's considered polite to share your fries. Just saying!
