The other day, I was excited about going to see a movie, not because I really wanted to finally see Greta Gerwig's Little Women (OK, that was part of it and it was great!!) but because I couldn't wait to sit in a dark room, eat a giant bucket of buttered popcorn, and wash it all down with a Diet Coke. Name a better meal, I dare you. Well now, my movie-going experience (and yours too!) could look a lot different because Regal announced it would be serving Pepsi products at all of its theaters.

Starting really soon, all of Regal's 7,178 screens will transition to Pepsi. This includes things like Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, of course, but also things like Pepsi Zero Sugar, Mountain Dew, Lifewater, bubly sparkling water, Pure Leaf Tea, and AMP Game Fuel.

This will make sense to fans who have been keeping a close eye out because Regal Theaters have recently been serving Frito Lay products (which are also a part of PepsiCo) like Cheetos Popcorn and Doritos Nachos.

Pepsi and Regal will also be teaming up on some "exclusive limited-time product offers and entertainment sneak peeks," so if you're a movie fan, or just a fan of movie snacks, it's probably worth following them both on Twitter.

When you exactly you can expect to see this in your local movie theater may vary, though it should be around the springtime. So if you're super psyched to hop on the Pepsi train (or super scared of change!) it might be worth giving theaters a call to see if they know when this change will be effective. After all, award season is here so it's time to watch some movies!
