Drinking wine on a flight can be tricky. You ~could~ sip from one of those little bottles, but it’s kind of frowned upon. But, if you pour it out in a cup, you could end up wearing your wine if you hit turbulence.
Well, JetBlue has a solution: They’re now serving Archer Roose Collective’s canned wine on their flights. As of January 1, you can order Archer Roose’s Chilean Sauvignon Blanc on all JetBlue flights, making it the airline’s first-ever canned wine, Travel + Leisure reports. (Though Malbec is in the photo above, it's not currently available on flights, but fingers crossed!)
According to the Archer Roose website, the Sauvignon Blanc has a “bright nose." It features notes of grapefruit, lemon, and green melon, and comes in a pretty green can. “This wine is great with oysters oceanside—or sipping discreetly on the train,” the company says. Or plane, of course.
While JetBlue is featuring the vineyard's Sauvignon Blanc right now, they also plan to offer up the brand's Provence Rosé in late spring and have it on the menu through the summer.
Not familiar with this particular canned booze? The company is big on offering up quality wine at an affordable price. Their cans are also eco-friendly and made from recycled aluminum, so you can feel good about what you're doing for the environment while you're getting your buzz on.
JetBlue is charging $8 for a can of the stuff, which is the same as their other non-sparkling wines. Happy sipping...
