As every good Vanderpump Rules fan knows, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump offers up plenty of dining options when you’re in the Los Angeles area. Among others, she owns SUR, which serves up trendy global cuisine, Villa Blanca, which offers Mediterranean fare, and Pump. Though SUR often gets the most press because of its connection to the show, Pump was in the spotlight this weekend after a car crashed into the restaurant during brunch.
Just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, a Ferrari smashed through the patio of Pump, according to Page Six. One woman was “slightly injured and taken to the hospital with cuts,” a rep for Vanderpump told Page Six. “We are very lucky that everyone else was uninjured and safe while dining during Sunday brunch,” the rep added.
TMZ was also on the case, and the whole thing appears to be an accident. Vanderpump’s husband Ken Todd told TMZ that the driver of the Ferrari said he had been cut off in traffic and accidentally swerved…onto Pump’s patio. Drugs and alcohol aren't thought to be a factor. Ken was actually pretty cool about the whole incident and told TMZ that these things happen.
Apparently the Ferrari-in-restaurant situation was no biggie for Pump (which bills itself as “Los Angeles’ sexiest restaurant”), because Ken said he planned to keep the place open for the rest of the day and seal up the patio while it’s being worked on.
In case you’re wondering, the driver of the Ferrari was OK. His car…not so much. While the driver was able to pull it out of the restaurant and drive it away, the front was pretty wrecked.
