UPDATE, January 17, 2020:

At the end of last year, Kit Kat was being cheeky and vague about what new flavors would actually be hitting the market. We finally have some confirmation now. Multiple outlets have reported that lemon crisp-flavored Kit Kats will be available this year by April.

The Takeout confirmed Kit Kat is releasing new flavors, many of which are still in the works, but the lemon crisp flavor will likely be the first on the market. The reporter at The Takeout said they gave the new candy a try and it's more reminiscent of lemon creme pie as opposed to a Lemonhead.

The lemon crisp Kit Kats come mini-sized and in individually wrapped packaging. The candy is a white creme base with a lemon flavor and a soft yellow hue. Lemony flavors always remind me of summertime, but I wouldn't mind eating this creative Kit Kat way sooner than the summer solstice, TBH.

Original post, January 4, 2020:

It was less than a week ago that we discovered Hershey’s new Kit Kat flavor for Valentine’s Day. Most people haven’t even had a chance to try it yet, but new flavors wait for no one! Now there is a Kit Kat Lemon Crisp flavor that has us remembering warmer times.

Instagram account @candyhunting posted a picture of the new Kit Kat flavor, which was spotted and photographed by @brickt13, followed by a picture from @snackstalker. The crisp wafers are coated in a lemon-flavored white crème. It sounds more like of a spring/summer treat than one we’d gravitate towards in January, but who are we to complain to the Kit Kat gods?

The Kit Kat Lemon Crisp treat was seen at Food Lion. That’s really all the information we have for now, since there are very few pictures of it floating around on social media. However, the bag shows that the flavor comes in Miniatures, which means they are individually wrapped like the festive Raspberry Crème.

Kit Kat Japan released its own lemon flavor a while back, but that one had a touch of salt. Chances are that you haven’t tried that one yourself, so while you can’t compare, we can’t wait to hear what you think of this new bite!

We just want to point out that this was not one of the flavors that Kit Kat teased us with at the end of 2019. So, as long as they’re not playing with our hearts, we have many more new flavors to try this year!
