Justin Bieber is making a sweet and steamy comeback with the release of his new song “Yummy”...and it sure is just that. The lyric video features hot pink, presumably strawberry-flavored, soft serve ice cream on a loop. It’s mesmerizing, calming, and leaves you feeling like the ice cream's swirl should be finished then start melting on a loop.
Although nothing can compare to all of the food-related content Harry Styles brought us with his album Fine Line, we stan the use of food to sing about sex, love, and everything in between.
People took to Twitter to gawk over the ice cream. It wouldn’t be Twitter if there weren’t any jokes sprinkled in there, too.
The song, obviously, is a tribute to Justin's wife Hailey Bieber. It’s clear when he says “Ain't on the side, you're number one” that he has all eyes on her. The smooth track against the soft serve and lyrics like “Rollin' eyes back in my head, make my toes curl, yeah, yeah,” will...make you hungry for dessert (sorry, had to!).
It’s the first single from Justin's upcoming fifth studio album. Apart from a few collabs here and there, including the heartfelt “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay and “Bad Guy (Remix)" with Billie Eilish, and “I Don’t Care” with Ed Sheeran–all valuable contributions–he hasn’t released new music of his own since his 2015 album Purpose.
We can only hope that the rest of Bieber's new album follows suit. Food-related lyrics and lyric videos for all in 2020!
