Everything I ever thought I knew has officially been turned upside down and it's all because Gene Simmons posted a photo on Twitter about how he puts ice cubes in his cereal milk...and his reasoning actually makes sense?
"Anyone else put ice cubes in their cereal?" the KISS member wrote in a tweet that included two photos of about five ice cubes floating around in his cereal milk. He also mixed two cereals together, which appear to be Oreo O's and Frosted Mini Wheats. I've definitely combined two flavors together, no doubt, but the ice thing...I'm not too sure.
Gene's son Nick replied to the controversial tweet saying his dad has been using this cereal strategy for years. "30 years. 30 years watching him do this. This is my life," he wrote. Apparently a lot of people put ice in their cereal, according to the replies. While many fear this would lead to watered down milk in the bowl, others said it keeps the milk cold the entire time you're eating, and by the time you're done there is no way the ice has melted enough to water it down. I will admit, that's quite logical.
Another Twitter user pointed out that Gene isn't the first celeb to have an unorthodox way of eating cereal. In fact, he even went as far as to caption his tweet "Rich people don't understand cereal," before embedding four screenshots of examples.
The first was the Gene Simmons's tweet. Next was a headline about former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz not knowing how much a cereal box costs, followed by another article that said Donald Trump thinks you need to have an ID to buy cereal. The last screenshot was a tweet from 2018 of Kylie Jenner saying she had just tried cereal and milk for the first time ever...in the year 2018.
I might actually try out ice cubes in my cereal one of these days, just to test the theory. Although this all has me thinking, do rich people not understand the food us normal folk eat? Have they too much pride to enjoy a fine bowl in the morning (or afternoon? Or night?). If so maybe—just maybe—I don't want to be rich after all.
