UPDATE, January 31, 2020:

We ended 2019 with the amazing news that LaCroix was coming out with a limoncello flavor and people were psyched. Now that the citrusy seltzer is available, the first impression reviews and flooding in and, well, people are still psyched.

A lot of people took to Twitter to express how impressed they are with the new flavor. Some seltzer non-believers even said that the limoncello turned them into a newfound seltzer fans.

Honestly, the way people feel toward seltzer is inspiring. The limoncello LaCroix is said to be a mix of lemon and vanilla flavors, so it sounds kind of groundbreaking and absolutely ideal for spiking.

Now, I'll leave you with this LaCroix limoncello that makes no sense and yet speaks volumes about how good this stuff is:

Original Post, December 19, 2019:

It's been the year of the spiked seltzer, with people debating left and right about which brand is best. When it comes to non-spiked seltzer, the classic stuff, one brand seems to consistently reign above the rest: LaCroix. Their flavors are pretty classic, like grapefruit and tangerine, and for 2020 they're stepping it up a notch with a new flavor...Limoncello!

The brand announced the release on their social media sites earlier this week, and people were excited as hell. LaCroix didn't go into any details about the new flavor, or how Limoncello would differ from their plain old lemon flavor, but they posted a photo of the can in front of a luxurious Italian riviera, so I'm sold.

The photo's caption was a simple, "The Extravagance of Delicious! #LaCroixLimonCello πŸ‹ Coming 2020!" The vagueness of it all makes it even more thrilling.

LaCroix's Twitter announcement was flooded with enthusiastic fans expressing their approval of the new flavor. Some said this announcement is already the best part about 2020, and others were nearly speechless so they decided to use gifs instead.

The announcement of Limoncello LaCroix was much more well-received than their launch of a Hibiscus flavor this past May. People were expecting something of the watermelon or raspberry variety based on the can, so there was some resounding disappointment.

If this LaCroix news is any indication, it seems like 2020 is already looking up. And I'd think putting a splash of actual limoncello into a can of Limoncello LaCroix would be a match made in hard seltzer heaven, so happy new year to LaCroix, and LaCroix only!
