I have a hot take to share: Fruity cereals are always better than chocolatey ones. I live and breathe by Fruity Pebbles. Trix? Inspired! Cap'n Crunch? An icon. But there is apparently a new cereal coming down the pipeline and I am just not exactly sure how I feel about it yet. My friends, brace yourselves...because I think Jolly Ranchers Cereal is coming.
This news was broken by an Instagrammer with an extremely good name: @i_need_a_snack. From the looks of their photo, the cereal is made to look like little bits of Jolly Ranchers, not unlike the ones I always seem to have wrapped up in my purse. They'll come in a few different flavors including Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, and Green Apple.
Personally, the thought of pouring milk on top of Jolly Ranchers disturbs me to a huge degree. Sure, I love the candy, I love fruity cereal, but those two are pretty mutually exclusive.
Thankfully, @i_need_a_snack not only got word of its existence, but they also tried the cereal for themselves! They gave it a bit of an above average rating, putting it at a 6.5/10 and saying that it tastes actually a lot like Trix. Though they were hoping for a bit more of a Jolly Rancher taste, I, for one, would be fine with more Trix in my life.
The cereal is in select stores now and will be available more widely available in March 2020. A box will run you between $3.99 and $4.99. If you can't find it, I guess you can put your Jolly Ranchers in milk? I dunno!!
