We all the know the best part of any wedding is the food—or the chicken nugget bouquets, if you're into that. This Michigan couple raised the bar by basing their entire wedding off of their love for Olive Garden, and it all looked just as amazing as it sounds.
For Samantha Roberts and Jeff Gilleland's entire relationship, Olive Garden played a part. The Italian chain reminded Roberts of family dinners with her grandparents and for Gilleland, it made him nostalgic about eating out during soccer tournaments as a child, the couple told Insider. When they first started dating, they would go to Olive Garden often.
In 2017, though, the importance of Olive Garden to their relationship became even more apparent when Gilleland won Olive Garden's Pasta Passport trip to Italy. If you don't know what the Pasta Passport is, individuals that patiently waited by their computers had the chance to win unlimited pasta from the restaurant for eight weeks, and only 50 lucky winners received a week long all expenses paid trip to Italy. Iconic.
When Gilleland won the luxurious trip, he knew it was the perfect place to propose. It's safe to say that Olive Garden became an integral part of their love story, so much so that when the two tied the knot this past September, Olive Garden OF COURSE came through for them once again.
The couple's entire wedding menu was provided by Olive Garden, including items like bruschetta, mushroom ravioli, chicken and cheese piadana, and Dolcini for dessert. That's not all, they also had a late night breadstick bar (!!!) for guests to enjoy between all the dancing.
As for the party favors, Olive Garden gifted each guest with their own Pasta Pass for nine weeks of unlimited pasta, sauce, soup, salad, and breadsticks. NBD. It's clear that Roberts and Gilleland have a love for pasta—and each other—that will last forever. P.S. Don't invite me to your wedding if Olive Garden isn't a part of it, just sayin'.
