As we all know, putting Flamin' Hot flavor on something just makes it immensely better. I'm not talking about spice generally, I'm talking the specific, magical, mystery powder that is Flamin' Hot...whatever that is. So when we heard Flamin' Hot Kettle Cooked Lay's were coming soon, it was cause for a minor freakout.
Instagrammer LA Snackdown posted a photo of the chips, which is how we initially found out about them. As they pointed out, Flamin' Hot Lay's already exist, but these are kettle cooked, which makes them way crunchier and way tastier. And yeah, it's safe to say these are as delicious as they sound. LA Snackdown called them "total fire."
"I don't know what it is that makes these so good but you have to give them a try," they wrote. Good enough for us.
We reached out to Lay's to confirm that these were definitely coming (they are!) and when (soon!). They confirmed that the chips will be coming in early February 2020, AKA just in time for that big football game everyone is just so excited about all the time. You know, that one!
Now that you've heard about these chips, February 2020 might seem like a pretty long time to wait, but don't forget all the other Flamin' Hot snacks you can enjoy right now! Popcorn! Cheetos! A literal entire box of snacks! Before you know it, you'll be able to pick these up and it'll be almost Valentine's Day...OK maybe don't think about that part.
