If you're a fan of reality TV, you probably know that no matter the show, from Jersey Shore to Chopped, romance often blossoms between the contestants. Well, it turns out the Great British Baking Show may be falling into that age-old pattern, too, because fans are speculating that two contestants from the most-recent season may be together IRL.
Some recent photos have surfaced of contestants Henry Bird and Michael Chakraverty, who have both been eliminated from this season, getting pretty cozy. Although they have never confirmed or denied that they are together, a quick dive into both of their Instagrams show that the pair does hang out quite a lot.
But it's actually their fellow contestant Alice Fevronia's Instagram that provides the most material for fan speculation. The trio are clearly great friends, and she frequently posts some pretty sweet photos of them cozying up together, including one where Henry kisses Michael on the cheek and she asks in the caption, "how many couples can you see?".
One of Alice's Instagram stories also showed a photo of Henry holding Michael while they appear to be making brownies. Well, this was enough to make the internet explode, especially when screenshots of the photo made their way to Twitter, where fans proceeded to do what they do best...totally freak out.
Of course there was a lot of doubt in the comments too, because, after all, friends are allowed to be affectionate with each other. Also, celebrities have been known to troll fans who are desperately hoping they're dating (ahem, Antoni and JVN...). Either way, I think we're all just looking for a person, romantic or not, to spoon us while we make brownies—amirite?
