Update, December 9, 2019:

The time has come, folks, so you better get your morning sweet tooth ready. The Hershey's Kisses cereal we were hyped to tell you about back in October has finally been spotted on shelves.

YouTuber Tami Dunn, who posts cooking videos as well as snack reviews, is one of the first to find this sweet cereal on shelves. In her video review of the cereal, she says she bought it for $3.64 at Walmart, but as we all know, prices will likely vary by location.

The pieces of cereal are shaped exactly like the iconic chocolate and they have a similar look to Cocoa Puffs. Dunn gave the cereal a pretty good review, and she confirmed that the cereal does indeed leave a rich, chocolatey milk at the bottom of the bowl to enjoy.

Candy- and dessert-inspired cereals seem to be the next big food trend (whether we like it or not) to hit the market. Breakfast options like Sour Patch Kids cereal and Donettes cereal have hit shelves recently, too, so it's officially a thing and we might as well embrace it!

If you're someone who can barely peel the foil off a Hershey's Kiss in time to eat it (who among us hasn't swallowed a little foil?) then we've got news for you. Hershey's Kisses brand cereal is rumored to be coming to grocery store shelves soon.

From the looks of it, the cereal will be released by General Mills (obvs), it will be chocolate (duh), and even shaped like the iconic treat. Can you just picture tiny little Hershey's Kisses in your bowl? And think of the chocolate milk it would leave behind!

Instagrammer @Markie_devo posted a photo of the box and Blogger Cerealously.net provided some more information on the rumored drop, which was provided by Instagrammer @sega_retro_revival. Confused yet?

This wouldn't be the first Hershey's cereal to be released. Previously, General Mills made a breakfast out of Hershey's Cookies and Creme Bar and Kellogg's released a Hershey's cereal in Korea.

Markie said that the cereal is due to drop in early 2020. When Delish reached out to General Mills, they told us that they have "many new cereals launching early next year" and that we should stay tuned to hear more. Well, you know what that means; we'll update this post when and if we hear anything further!

In the meantime, it's almost the holidays, which means it's acceptable to put Hershey's Kisses on everything from cookies to gingerbread houses, so they'll be lots of chocolate to tide everyone over.
