Jennifer Lopez, who has been tied up with filming movies, being an icon, and planning a wedding to Alex Rodriguez, and Alex Rodriguez, who has been preoccupied with being a mogul who is planning a wedding to Jennifer Lopez, teamed up to create and launch a line of healthy and affordable meals for Walmart, a Monday press release explained.
Here's what we know about the line so far: It's called Tiller & Hatch Supply Co., the release explains, and its original launch features "eight restaurant-quality dishes created by Bruce Hecker of Bruce's Catering." Each serving of the meals will clock in at less than $3 per serving and the pre-prepared meals will be available both in-store at Walmarts nationwide as well as by subscription.
Furthermore, J.Lo and A-Rod were seemingly heavily involved in the creation of the meals and bringing them to life. "This is an option we wish had been available to our families growing up," Alex said in the release:
We are committed...to doing good. This partnership offers us the opportunity to provide affordable and nutritious meals to families across America while making significant charitable contributions to shelters and food-based charities across the country.
As far as what to actually expect when you open 'em up, this first batch has things like "artisanal pastas [and] hearty stews and flavorful soups." In the future, it sounds like the pair will help develop meals made for people on certain trendier diets (paleo, vegan, etc.).
Also in the future, these two will be the first married co-Presidents.
