A few different food items cause massive conversations whenever they appear. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is one, Mystery Oreos are another, and, of course, one of the OGs was the McRib. Yes, this McDonald's menu item only comes out of hiding every once in a while but people go crazy for it every time. And my friends, the time has come again for the McRib to grace us with is presence.
McDonald's confirmed that the McRib will be returning to menus starting October 7, though some people been spotting it already and sharing the good news with the world. Though it may seem a bit extreme, people are seriously obsessed with finding this thing. There is even an entire website dedicated to McRib sightings.
The sandwich will be returning to more than 10,000 McDonald's locations this month, and if you want to know if yours is included, you can check the locator here. The McRib normally makes its way to stores around this time each year, and fans know that it doesn't stick around for long—so if you want to try it, I'd act quickly.
For those who haven't had one (for the record, I love it myself), it's a "pork patty" covered in barbecue sauce and topped with slivered onions and pickles, all on a hoagie-style bun. You can get a two for $6 promotion at some locations or pay the $3.69 for one on its own, according to Chewboom.
Even if your local McDonald's was not blessed with the McRib, there is a Cinnamon Cookie Latte and Donut Sticks coming to the chain in November, so there's lots to be excited about. Just sayin'!
