Certain grocery store chains have cult products that their longtime shoppers go crazy for. The only problem with that? You have to really put in the time to figure out what those awesome products are (or have a nice friend or food website which will share the info with you). ALDI is trying to speed up with a new designation for some pick: Fan Favorites.
The food store asked 40,000 of their shoppers to vote in an online survey for their most beloved products in 23 categories, from condiments to beverages, snacks to cheese, baked goods and gluten-free options. ALDI just announced the winners, and we have a pretty clear view of the item we'll be gently tossing into our carts first.
In the alcohol category, fans chose Winking Owl Moscato. It's not hard to see why they love the wine, which is sold exclusively at ALDI: There's an adorable cartoon owl on the label, and the juice has flavors of ripe citrus, apricot, and peach.
Oh, and it's only $3 a bottle!!
The ALDI site says the Moscato pairs well with light cheese and desserts, so while you're at it, why not pick up those Fan Favorites, too? Shoppers chose Happy Farms Preferred Specialty Shreds in the cheese category, and for favorite sweet treat, it was Moser Roth Premium Chocolate. It's a pretty solid Friday night food situation.
And don't worry, you need not write these picks down. Starting this week, ALDI stores will note the Fan Favorite winning products with a special logo, a little blue heart. Happy shopping, and also drinking.
