Sandwich-gate just won't end. The sandwich heard 'round the world is temporarily gone, but as you may have heard, Popeye's is encouraging fans to bring their own bun, order some tenders, and make their own version of the wildly popular Popeye's sammie.
Naturally, people have some thoughts. After all, this is the sandwich that has prompted both a lawsuit and a gun being drawn (please, do not do either of these things), as well as insane lines outside stores. Even Gayle King had to visit FIFTEEN stores just to try one herself. It's been a summer, guys.

To be fair, Popeye's gets it. This ad essentially says, "we know this is annoying, but we also know you fools will do it." And don't forget, Popeye's has promised the sandwich will make a return...at some point. We'll keep you posted when that happens!
