As we all know, the world has gone crazy over Popeyes' first-ever chicken sandwich, which has already sold out after just launching on August 12. Turns out us mere mortals weren't the only ones dying to try it—our girl Cardi B literally traveled from coast to coast to get a taste of viral food for herself.
The rap star took to Twitter as she does to announce that she finally bought the insanely popular chicken sandwich in Los Angeles after she wasn't able to get it in her stomping grounds of New York. After all she had to do just to get a bite of this sammie, she posted a video with her reactions and she tweeted: "This sh*t better bust in my mouth like a starburst 😒😒😒."
In the video—which sees her husband Offset hilariously laying down in the backseat—she pops off and says: “It’s 10:32 in the morning and I beat y’all to it. I finally got the goddamn chicken sandwich.” She continues: "These fat b*tches and fat motherf*ckers in New York ate all of them and I couldn’t get one. But you know I got one in L.A.”
She insisted that it was probably easier for her to get one in LA because these "motherf*ckers be eating vegan burgers and sh*t.” And we give props to Cardi for keepin' it real because that's the tea...OKURRRR.
If you haven't gotten THE chicken sandwich and are dying to try it, you better try harder. Because if Cardi can go alllll the way to California just to try a-less-than-$5 sandwich, you can make some money moves too, sis. Just kidding. Mostly. :)
