You know how they say nothing gold can stay? I'm here to sadly inform you that maybe some orange things can't stay either because Taco Bell is bidding adieu to some of their most iconic menu items. Starting on September 12, the fast food chain will be giving their menu a total makeover—the new menu will not include the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco.
We can't be totally upset at Taco Bell considering all the good they've brought into our lives over the years. And from the way they broke the news to customers, we know that they truly care about us and our well-being. They explained their menu reconstruction by ripping the band-aid off slowly: "[Have you ever] had that moment...where you just want to chop all your hair off, buy new clothes and get a fresh, new start?” Then, they dropped the bomb. "Well, we kind of did a thing..." they said in their press release.
The whole revamp isn't the worst thing in the world. Here's what they're cutting out, so you have all the information you need now: Beefy Mini Quesadilla, Chips & Salsa, Chipotle Chicken Loader, Double Decker Taco, Cool Ranch Tacos, Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos, Double Tostada, Power Menu Burrito, and the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito.
Even though we're a little salty about the removal of these glorious items, their new and improved menu and combos do look inviting. We have to be optimistic, people! Change is good! While you wrap your head around all of this, go get as many Beefy Mini Quesadillas and Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos as your heart desires.
