It's August. You're probably still sweating on your commute and trying to squeeze in one last beach trip before the season ends. Nevertheless, pumpkin-flavored everything has already started making its way to stores. If you're not a huge fan of this particular seasonal flavor, or caramel apple, for that matter, I have some good news for you: Peppermint will be back sooner than you think, at least where Häagen-Dazs is concerned.
The ice cream brand announced its seasonal Peppermint Bark flavor will return to stores October 1 this year. That means you have nearly three full months to enjoy the minty, chocolatey ice cream before Christmas even hits!
The flavor comes in two forms. The Peppermint Bark pint, which blends white chocolate ice cream with crunchy, chocolatey peppermint bark pieces AND peppermint candy pieces. It's a whole lot of peppermint, but in the best way. Pints are sold for around $5.29, though price may vary by location. Then there are the Peppermint Bark Ice Cream bars: white chocolate ice cream dipped in dark chocolate and speckled with peppermint candy pieces. They're sold in boxes of three bars for around $5.29.
While Häagen-Dazs might be one of the first to drop, keep your eyes peeled for more peppermint desserts and snacks in the coming months. Last year, Oreo brought back its Peppermint Bark cookies. Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses are pretty much always a crowd favorite, too. Is it time to start playing Christmas music yet?!
