Since Parks and Recreation ended, many fans have been clamoring for more adventures with the gang from the hit NBC show. And though there are no plans for a revival yet (honestly, thank goodness!), fans will soon get their chance to live their dreams of hanging out in Pawnee after all.
Treat Yo Self: A Parks and Rec Pop-Up! is coming later this month to the bar Replay Lincoln Park in Chicago and it's set to be a Leslie Knope-themed paradise. The pop-up, created by the same minds behind that awesome Game of Thrones pop-up, will be inspired by iconic locations from the show including the Shoe Shine Stand, Li’l Sebastian’s Stable, the Pit, and the Pawnee Department of Parks and Recreation, of course.
Along with those locations, you can enjoy a ton of the delicious food and drinks you've seen on the show, including selections from JJ's diner and Paunch Burger, according to People magazine. Local restaurant Zizi’s Cafe will provide themed foods like an egg breakfast buffet fit for Ron Swanson himself and the bar will serve themed drinks like “Give Me All the Bacon,” which includes bourbon and bacon, and a Leslie Knope cocktail that is topped with her favorite treat: a waffle (!).
If you're feel particularly adventurous, you can even down some Snake Juice, aka the liquor that was shown on one of the most iconic episodes of the show, but you may wanna keep lucid because there'll be themed trivia and bingo to be played, along with a concert from MouseRat and a designated "Treat Yo Self" day.
Basically, this pop-up seems to be planned like an annual Galentine's Day bash from Leslie Knope herself: There's a LOT going on! It starts up on August 30 and ends October 20th, according to NBC Chicago, so that's plenty of time to get your fix of waffles, friends, and work...in no particular order.
