It's no secret that the best friends are the ones who pick up the check once in a while when you go out to eat with them. But apparently the even better friends are the ones who pick up your check when they're not even at the dinner table with you.
Katy Perry recently shared that Ariana Grande did exactly that when the pair ran into each other at a sushi restaurant, begging the question...why have I never been lucky enough to be in the same restaurant as Ariana?
Perry shared the sweet story in an interview with the "Ellen K Morning Show" last week, but this particular snippet was surfaced by the Instagram account @popcrave.
Perry said she and fiancé Orlando Bloom, along with his son, Flynn, were out when she ran into Grande, who was also getting sushi. The two chatted and Grande went on her merry way.
Then, Perry said that when she and Bloom went to pay for the bill, they got some seriously pleasant news that, surprise, it was already paid for...by Ariana Grande.
Can we just take a second to acknowledge how cool it would be to be the person who is told by Ariana Grande that she is picking up Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's tab?
Perry said that Flynn, 8, called the move "dope," and that Bloom also seriously appreciated the gesture.
"That is such a boss move and such a cute gesture," she said. "Orlando was like, 'Man, I have such mad respect for her.' She was so kind. I love little things like that."
For the record, I also love little things like that. Just saying, Ariana!
