Dunkin' is out here stealing Starbuck's PSL thunder with the early launch of its annual Pumpkin menu. The chain is debuting Apple Cider donuts, Munchkins, and the Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Latte of our dreams.
And while the market may feel a little (or a lot) oversaturated with Pumpkin Spice, according to Dunkin', they're just giving the people what they want. "Consumers' passion for pumpkin is rising, with annual sales of pumpkin flavored products up 15.5 percent in 2018 and setting an all-time high for the past five years," the statement reads. "To help satisfy seasonal cravings, Dunkin' is offering one of the largest varieties of pumpkin choices of any national restaurant chain."
Let's talk more about these offerings, shall we? Your old faves are back. The pumpkin-flavored hot, iced, and frozen coffee; cold brew; espresso; frozen hot chocolate; and K-cups are on deck. The pumpkin donut and muffin have returned, too.
But honestly, it's the rookies that've really gotten our attention. The Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Signature Latte is available in hot and iced, features (as I'm sure you guessed) cinnamon and pumpkin flavors, and is topped with whipped cream, a caramel drizzle, and more cinnamon sugar. While the new Apple Cider Donut and MUNCHKINS include apple cider cake and plenty of cinnamon sugar itself.
Because the *only* way to make this situation better is with freebies, Dunkin' is hosting a one-day Pumpkin' pop-up event with free coffee and early tastings of their soon-to-be bestsellers.
