Update: November 18, 2019 10:50 a.m. Well, four months later, we finally got to see the Candy Land drama unfold in full on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and it was truly just as insane as anticipated.
To recap, Kourtney and Kim got into it because Kim wanted to serve sugary sweets at Penelope and North's birthday party and Kourtney wasn't having it, suggesting some "healthy" candy options. But what we didn't see in the original clip was that Kourtney eventually relented and allowed candy at the party, saying "I’m OK with some candy and having some sugar. You only live once." Yes, Kourt!
In the end, even Kim admitted that there was "too much candy" at the party, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. STILL that didn't stop Kourtney from catching some major heat from viewers who mocked her over her fears about the food coloring and sugar in candy and for wanting to have salads at the party because P apparently loves them.
One person even said they hoped she quit the show and Kourtney was, um, not having it!
"Thanks for being so invested in this sugar plum. I didn’t say No sweets, we had organic cotton candy, and much more. There are healthier candy options. I appreciate your concern about my future as well, may God bless your sweet soul. #KUWTK," she wrote.
What have learned today? The sky is blue, Kourtney wants to eat healthy, and people are mad online. So you know, just an ordinary day.
Original: July 22, 2019 11:11 a.m. While season 16 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians just wrapped, the sibling drama neverrrr ends, as evidenced by this very tense just-released clip from season 17. Kardashian fans may recall P and North's elaborate Candy Land-themed birthday this June—and if you're at all familiar with Kourtney's diet (and the kids'), you may have been surprised to see the BOATloads of sweets available at the party. If you watch the clip, you'll see Kourt wasn't exactly hyped about it either.
The whole thing starts with Kim and Khloe teasing Kourt for the bowl of candy spotted in one of her family rooms. In the most sister move ever, Kim goes: "Call the police! There is candy in here!" Kourtney confirmed it is her only hidden stash, TYVM, and the sisters proceeded to debate the joys of eating candy. Kourt's view: "Don't you just feel it when you eat that that it sucks the life and youthfulness out of your skin?" Kim's rebuttal: "No, it makes me feel like a kid inside."
Fast forward to a heated discussion about their daughters' joint birthday party. In a nutshell, Kourtney knows there are "candies that are not disgusting and filled with chemicals" and would like to offer those at the party. Kim is not convinced. The peak of the argument is without a doubt this hilarious line:
"It's a Candy Land themed party, yes, that's what the party is about," Kim shouted. "Candy Land. It's not f*cking gluten-free land over here." 😟
The sisters landed on a "you do your party I'll do mine" situation, though as we saw in June, they did make up at some point and ended up having a joint party. Ohhhh siblings. TBH, I'm excited to see if Kourt won out at all—my guess is at least a few gluten-free treats made it in there.
