I'm already that annoying person that milks a birthday for all its worth, but now Kellogg's is giving me an excuse to celebrate a whole six months in advance. Birthday Cake Fruit Loops are here and breakfast will never be the same.
Rumors of the new flavor first circulated in April after @CandyHunting dropped a sneak peak on Instagram. But now, they've officially hit store shelves. And oh, they sound like an absolute dream. First and foremost, the cereal is strawberry birthday cake-flavored and comes in pink, purple, and yellow hues with rainbow sprinkles.
Boxes are currently available on Walmart's site for $3.64 and have been spotted ~in the wild~ at Target.
Though technically this limited-edition flavor is new, we have seen a pretty similar product over in Canada. In 2017, Kellogg's launched a Strawberry and Vanilla Birthday Cake-flavored box that looks suspiciously similar to the U.S. version. The cereal was all-pink, but the concept and flavor was nearly identical.
But in all honesty, I could care less whether it's been done before—especially if the reviews are anywhere as great as they were for the Canada edition. "Even more yummy than I expected!!" one customer wrote on IG. "Is this even real life right now?! Birthday cake Froot Loops😍" another added.
