In the world of what-are-celebrities-doing-next, trademark applications can be veryyy telling. In May, Kylie Jenner applied for trademarks to use "Kylie Baby" and "Kylie Baby by Kylie Jenner" in several lifestyle categories. While there haven't been any announcements regarding plans for baby clothes just yet, it seems the billionaire is also thinking about getting into the adult beverage space. Kylie-pink rosé, anyone?
According to TMZ and the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Kylie has applied for trademarks to use her first and full name on spirits, liquor, wine, alcohol cocktail mixes, prepared wine cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktail bases, energy sports drinks, soft drinks, smoothies, and beers, and to have those drinks served in restaurants, bars, and cocktail lounges. Woof! That's a lot of potential Kylie product. But just you wait, there's plenty more.
She also applied for use of her name in "retail store services featuring gifts, general consumer merchandise, apparel, apparel accessories, furniture, home accessories; kitchenware; cookware; dining ware; food and drink products," plus on kitchen products like temperature controlled wine cellars, convection ovens, and microwave ovens, AND children's educational toys, including toy food and toy cookware.
Now, from the large sweep of applications—16 were filed on June 24, 2019—it appears Kylie is simply covering her bases so other companies can't profit off the use of her name. However, we are veeeeery curious to see what products are eventually added to the Kylie empire outside her sisters' usual clothing-supplements-makeup territory. Personally, I'm gunning for Kylie Kookware—cereal bowls and waffle makers, let's go.
